Graduated Filters

I thought I’d go ahead and post my practice session with graduated filters in Lightroom 4. I had become all too complacent with global edits, and just thought I’d push it to the extreme with this one. I’ve used two filters here, one for the top half of the image and the other for the bottom. By yanking contrast, sharpness, clarity, etc to the extremes in both filters I’m left with this, which isn’t half bad for an image I’d passed over a dozen times. Still uncertain of brightness across monitors though, always more to learn.
